Gold Lake

Sunday, February 24, 2013
Leader: John Cooper
Xski: 4 miles, 300 ft (Moderate)

The preceding day had left the Cascades blanketed in a foot and a half of powder snow. The sun was out and the wind was away for the three skiers making their way down the road to Gold Lake. Two of us explored briefly along the shore line for a full view of the lake. We had lunch on the bridge. There we enjoyed the beauty of the day and conversed with other skiers that passed by. The ski out got us back to the Gold Lake Snow Park in three hours round trip.
