Our layered clothing for a chilly start at SEHS gradually was tied around our waists as the day became warmer and sunnier. We ambled downtown to view bronze sculptures and the two Carl Morris murals at the Post Office. We then walked along the river to the campus, making a quick visit to the House of Phineas Gage sculpture in the Straub courtyard. Next stop was the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art to see the Carl Morris exhibit, nine abstract murals on the History of Religions. The artist believed that art should be experienced, not explained. After our "experience,' our need for sustenance stirred us on to Caspian Mediterranean Restaurant for lunch. We felt so lucky to have the sun on our faces for our walk.Members: Janet Jacobsen, Ginny Reich, Sandra Larsen. Nonmembers: Alice Krentz, Libby Bottero, Mindy Hollenbeck.
