Berley Lakes

Saturday, March 9, 2013
Leader: Sam Miller
Xski: 8.5 miles, 1000 ft (Moderate)

Warm temperatures, blue skies, sunshine, and wonderful views of Three Fingered Jack, Mt. Washington, and the Three Sisters, greeted our group of skiers. Add soft snow with a good track and you have the necessary elements for an enjoyable outing. Navigation to-and-from the Berley Lakes “topographic vortex of confusion” (Google: Register Guard “The Lost Lakes for Bill Sullivan’s trip description) posed no problem. With former Berley Lakes veterans, and several GPS owners, we made good time to and from our destination. It was a fine day to ski with a pleasant group.

Members: Miller, Sam, Hubata-Vacek, Lubos, Shuraleff, Chris, Hartman, John, Van Deusen, Charlie, Stockdale, Chris, Johnson, Steven, Matthews, Nancy. Nonmembers: Speicher, Melanie.
