It was really raining when eight of us met at 9:00. By the time we started up the trail to the powerline road to Dillard Road, the rain ceased. The 60 degree temperature and the steep 700 ft. elevation gain created a sauna of sorts under our raingear, prompting some of us to shed rain gear and warm clothing. After summiting Baldy, the rest of the hike was easy going as we walked up Dillard Road to catch the Ridgeline Trail to Foxhollow and then down the Amazon Headwaters Trail. The loop hike was around 4 ½ miles and took 2 hours and 15 minutes. We were all surprised including Brian Murray, a recent arrival from Colorado, that our 2 hour and 15 minute hike was not in the rain.Members: Jacobsen, Janet, Naik, Jyoti, Krentz, Holger, Woxell, Tom, Soussan, Pat, Parker, Judy, Sojak, Darko.
