We left Eugene at 8:00 with high hopes for change in the weather forecast. After Steve Johnson and I arranged the car shuttle, we started hiking from the Adobe parking lot around 10:30. A few minutes later, two of us decided it was time to put on rainpaints. We found a dry spot under some trees at Tillicum Campground for lunch. The showers were forgotten when sun and blue sky appeared for the remainder of the hike. The most challenging part was figuring out the best way to cross the streams: 1. Take off shoes and wade 2. Keep shoes on no matter how deep 3. Scramble over rocks to a better jump off spot 4. Wear Keens with no socks. We arrived at Patterson State Park around 1:30 ; all of us happy that it turned out to be a great day for a hike on the beach.Members: Janet Jacobsen, Susan Sanazaro, Moshe Rapaport, Dick Hildreth, Sandra Larsen, Steven Johnson, Ellen Johnson.
