There was a crowd on top of Mt. Pisgah to observe the impressive sunset at 8:21. Everyone then turned around and within a few minutes saw the emerging orange super moon rise above the Willamette foothills. It was time to take photographs and celebrate the closeness of our celestial neighbor. On the way down, we met many folks hiking up with blankets to possibly take advantage of more celestial closeness and the now bright planet of Venus. My passengers opted for hot chocolate but alas, the coffee shop was closed.Members: Jacobsen, Janet, Sojak, Darko, Sanazaro, Susan, Camp, Marianne, Naik, Jyoti, Kameenui, Brenda, Whitfield, Jim, Ahrens, Rick, Funkhouser, Laurie, Baer, Jennifer.
