Our group met at the Willamette & 52nd parking lot and hiked into the Tie Trail. The weather was fairly ominous and more than a little rain fell on us while we were in the parking lot. When it looked like everyone had arrived we grabbed tools and headed up the Ridgeline Trail hoping that the trees would absorb much of the rain, they didn't disappoint.
At the Tie Trail we broke into 3 groups. On group continued onto the Fox Hollow Trailhead and worked our way back to the Tie Trail clearing drainage and cleaning the trail a bit. A second group went up the Tie Trail and worked their way back down cleaning drainage along the way. The 3rd group, I bet you've noticed a pattern, began at the Tie Trail and worked back towards Willamette & 52nd cleaning drainage.
After our damp morning cleaning the drains they should be in good shape for the coming fall's inevitable wet weather.Members: Matthew Bell, Jim Whitfield, Jyoti Naik, Janet Jacobsen, Jennifer Baer, Dan Gilmore, Clara Emlen, Judy Parker, Pat Soussan, Dave Predeek, Tom Woxell, Todd Larsen, Laurie Funkhouser. Nonmembers: Lauren O'Friel.
