Goodman Creek

Saturday, June 4, 2011
Leader: Paul Flashenberg
Hike: 6 miles, 500 ft (Moderate)

Mother Nature smiled on us as temperatures were ideal for hiking. The trail was quite muddy in many spots, helped along by mountain bikes having created many ruts. Everyone dealt with the mud and a few downed trees in good spirits and enjoyed this late spring day, celebrating National Trails Day. Four non-members joined 5 veteran members, with a good mix of "youth" and senior citizens. We were back in town by 2 P.M. to enjoy the rest of the afternoon, as it is only about a half hour's drive to the trailhead. Thanks to Daniele, Lynda and Valerie for driving.

Members: Flashenberg, Paul, Delaby, Daniele, Smith, Lamonte, Metcalfe, Valerie, Christiansen, Lynda. Nonmembers: Bronson, Patrick, Zuckerman, Mickey, Ambika, Shan, Gates, Devin.
