Heavy precipitation this winter guaranteed that Trestle Creek Falls would be roaring, and we were not disappointed. The day began with grey skies and we were not surprised to find snow at the 3,000 ft. elevation of the falls. One car was left at the lower trailhead, and our small group began our hike with the loop up to and under the falls, then followed Brice Creek down the trail which is in good shape, despite the wet winter. Flowers along the way included trillium and calypso orchids, as well as spring beauty. Rain showers held off, and we had some sun toward the end of the day.Members: Lynda Christiansen, Nola Nelson, Laurie Funkhouser, Art Kearney. Nonmembers: Barry Taub.
