Coyote Creek Paddle

Wednesday, May 4, 2011
Leader: Lana Lindstrom
Water: 4 miles (Easy)

In the morning, the reflections resembled a Monet painting -- rich in color and peaceful. But on the return, we saw scintillating diamonds dancing across the water! Lots of bird sounds: yellow warblers, Canada geese, ducks, several osprey, including one eating breakfast, a great blue heron, and 5 white pelicans were among the sightings. Some of the boats were long, sleek kayaks; others were shorter and squatter; and one lone tandem canoe. The weather and the company couldn't have been better. Thanks to the folks for sharing a spectacular morning.
