Only nine of us showed up for the hike on a day with the temperature in the upper 20s and snow level about 800 feet. I sent people off early rather than have everybody stand around. I was happy enough to finally get moving so I could try to get warm. From the Meadow to the top, the trail was icy, snow-packed and very slick. The rocks were so slippery that only three of us went to the top, where we had 3 inches of fresh snow and a beautiful, if foggy, scene. The descent was done very cautiously, and we all got down without incident.Members: Mike Smith, Nancy Hoecker, Tom Rundle, David Lodeesen, Janet Jacobsen, David Cooper, Dorene Steggell, Carla Lyon, Jorry Rolfe.
