Carry Cans - Food For Lane County

Friday, December 22, 2017
Leader: Tom Rundle
Hike: 5.7 miles, 85 ft (Easy)

Five of us set out at 9:25 on cool, overcast morning with four heavy backpacks and a dilapidated cart packed with cans and a few other items. According to Lane County Foods we carried a total of 76 lbs. of food. Round trip was about 5.7 miles with an elevation gain of about 75 ft. We made the entire round trip in about 2 hours. On the return trip we saw over a hundred Canada Geese grazing on the lawn at Cesar Chavez Middle School.

Members: Rundle, Tom, Jacobsen, Janet, Hackett, Jane, Bennett, Brad, Sutterfield, June.
