Suzanne Arlie Park

Tuesday, November 14, 2017
Leader: David Cooper
Hike: 7.3 miles, 1480 ft (Moderate)

A great morning for exploring the Suzanne Arlie Park. The sun and clear skies made the open roads sections especially pleasant. We moved along at a moderate pace, stopping at every junction to let folks orientate themselves to this new area. The potential of this large, close to town resource sparked a lot of discussion as we walked the trails, routes and roads. Ideas about extended Ridgeline hikes, a Pisgah to Spencer trek, or a hike to LCC for lunch were some of the ideas shared among today's hikers. And what about the Obsidians helping with trail construction and habitat restoration? Lot's of enthusiasm for the Arlie Park.
