Horse Rock Geology

Saturday, May 20, 2017
Leader: Tom Rundle
Hike: 3.2 miles, 630 ft (Easy)

We hiked up Horse Ridge through colorful meadows of wildflowers. Clouds floated above and around us on a cool, misty morning. At Horse Rock, Tom Rundle offered a geology talk about the local dike features and an overview of the geologic history off the Western Cascade Range. After lunch, we returned to the trail amid more wildflowers and bright sunshine.
