Amazon Headwaters/Spencer Butte

Wednesday, April 5, 2017
Leader: Janet Jacobsen
Hike: 6.2 miles, 1530 ft (Moderate)

Hopefully all 19 hikers noticed the wildflower display. The calypso orchids, widow grass and one or two wild iris offered the purple hues while the trilliums spread the slopes with white. Dev and Josh, Eugene Parks and Open Space were just completing their work with gravel and rocks to fill up the problem spots on the Amazon Headwaters Trail.

Members: Janet Jacobsen, Tommy Young, Steve Cordon, David Cooper, Carla Cooper, Mike Smith, Dorene Steggell, David Lodeesen, Jorry Rolfe, Lana Lindstrom, Nancy Hoecker, Darian Morray, Carla Lyon, Hilary Fisher, Cari Soderlund, Karen Morray, Mari Baldwin. Nonmembers: Jocelyn Blore, Edward Brindle.
