Browder Ridge

Sunday, June 9, 2013
Leader: Tom Giesen
Hike: 8.4 miles, 2200 ft (Moderate)

We had an uneventful trip with 7 hikers. We encountered snow drifts in two places, but they were not much of a problem; most of us had trekking poles. We reached the uppermost ridge and 6 of the 7 summited. Vegetation growth in the upper meadows was in a very early stage, needed 2 - 3 weeks (IMHO) to bloom. The trail is in good shape with the exception of perhaps 6 - 8 deadfalls across the trail. However it is passable without much trouble.

Members: Giesen, Tom, Hamilton, Brian, Parrish, Kate, Hildreth, Dick, Stockdale, Chris, Sojak, Darko. Nonmembers: Cook, Amy.
