Marys Peak

Thursday, May 2, 2013
Leader: Mary Holbert
Hike: 12 miles, 2000 ft (Difficult)

Four lucky hikers summited Mary's Peak on a perfect spring day. Though early for the unique higher elevation wildflowers, we enjoyed exquisite weather, dry trail, few blow down crossings and little competition for the trails, picnic table, and parking. A patch of snow here and there was the only reminder of winter. Hazy views of peaks from Mt St Helens to Diamond Peak to the surf of the Pacific rewarded us for our efforts.

Members: Mary Holbert, Janet Jacobsen, Dick Hildreth. Nonmembers: Katie Geiser.
