Five Obsidians departed the West Trailhead at 9 am on a cool (41 degree) Sunday morning. With an 80% chance of rain, we expected a soggy trek. As it turned out, we had a beautiful spring day in the Willamette Valley with only light intermittent rain offset by periods of warm sun. Among the wildflowers in early bloom that were known to us were Camas, White Fawn Lily, Monkey Flower, Henderson’s Shooting Star, Baby Blue Eyes and Iris Tenax. There were many others that we were not able to identify. We stopped at the summit of Mt. Pisgah for a brief lunch and finished our trek at 1:30 pm, completing an 8.2 mile loop.Members: Woodard, Jim, Fogg, May, Baer, Jennifer, Baldwin, Mari, Krentz, Holger.
