Shooting stars, calypso orchids, and monkey flowers galore - what a treat! Plus lots of other wildflowers - daisies, a few trilliums, fritillaria, paint brush, lomatium, and my favorite sounding, rosy plectritis. All were enjoying the sunshine and 80 degree temperature, as were the hikers. We ambled along admiring the meadows and the rock formations, but most of all the flowers. This large group of folks was very respectful to this "Area of Critical Environmental Concern" managed by the BLM. Special thanks to Julie, Nola, Pierce and Greg for driving.Members: Lindstrom, Lana, Hughes, Richard, Dorland, Julie, Nelson, Nola, Graham, Kitson, Graham, Peter, Chord, Roberta, Sanazaro, Susan, Fogg, May, Crandall, Hope.
