Ridgeline Trail

Tuesday, February 5, 2013
Leader: Dave Beardsley
TrRun: 1.6 miles, 200 ft (Moderate)

Was this the first ever official Obsidian trail run? Maybe not, considering in the history of the Obsidians, at least one hiker has come face to face with a bear!

As with many winter runs, it started pouring as soon as I pulled up to the parking area on Fox Hollow Road. With very short notice, I actually had a participant- Diana. We met at 5pm- a very late start for February 5th. The rain soon let up and we ran the 1.6 mile loop trail between Fox Hollow and Dillard Rd. Temperature was 53 degrees.

I hope we develop a dedicated group of trail runners. The goal is to run a different loop every week and eventually cover every foot of the local trails. The pace is moderate, the mud can be deep and the views are fantastic.
