Tait's Trail - Rosary Lakes

Thursday, March 7, 2013
Leader: Lyndell Wilken
SShoe: 7.5 miles, 1000 ft (Difficult)

It was a beautiful day to be in the mountains. Fresh fallen snow on the trees and ground making for a pristine experience. To top off the day we had sunshine for most of the trip and great views of the Rosary Lakes, Pulpit Rock, Maiden Peak, Eastern Oregon, Diamond Peak and Mt. Yoran. Having 6 participants was a help in getting through the 3-6 inches of snow, particularly as we trudged up to the Maiden Peak Saddle. Total distance was 7.4 miles, but with the new snow we had a great workout getting to our lunch destination overlooking Lower Rosary Lake.

Members: Lyndell Wilken, Daphne James, Chris Stockdale, Rich Romm. Nonmembers: Sandra Kwak, Bruce Ruhnow.
