Rosary Lakes/Maiden Peak Saddle

July 24, 2010

On a day promising to be hot six hikers left the trailhead for Rosary Lakes slathered in mosquito repellent from head to toe. We hiked to the first lake at a good pace but made more stops to enjoy the views, the cool breeze and take pictures along the three lovely lakes. The sun was starting to feel pretty hot when we got to the Maiden Peak Saddle and we were very happy to find a cooler spot to have our lunch and later refresh our feet in the lake before returning to the parking area. The mosquitoes were around but not as thick as we had feared. Participating were Juliana Cichy (nonmember), Daniele Delaby (leader), Heather Home, Lamonte Smith, Pat Soussan and Michelle Tambellini.
