Ridgeline Trail

April 3, 2010

We were amazed that rain eluded our 3 hour hike that included a minuscule patch of snow and some sun on Baldy. It was definitely prime time for the calypso orchids that provided copious purple color spots along the trail. Other flowers we enjoyed were trillium, fawn lilies, hounds tooth plus a few bleeding hearts, shooting stars, and irises. It was the first time for Joella Ewing, Helen Martz, Tom Musselwhite, and Chuck Wagar to hike the Ridgeline Trail from Blanton to Spring. Other members on the hike were Jean Coberly, Janet Jacobsen, Martha Welches. Thanks to the four drivers who helped facilitate the car shuttle for a pleasant one way hike.
