Wolf Creek - Clay Creek Bike Ride

June 14, 2009

This is the second year in a row that we have done this out-and-back ride over the steep hills south of Crow. Last year we did it in mid July and the temperatures were in the 90s. The heat and the sun got the better of many riders. This year seven of us set out with fingers and toes crossed that Mother Nature would be kinder and she really came through. The temperatures were in the mid 70s and the sun hid behind clouds most of the day. This doesn’t mean the ride was easy (three of the four big hills merited three chevrons), but we were able to finish with energy to spare. We rewarded ourselves with Blizzards at the Dairy Queen in Veneta. Wonder what next year will bring...?

Riders were Bill Aspegren, Paul Garrick, Stewart Hoeg, Richard Hughes, George Jobanek, Sam Miller and Lyn Gilman-Garrick, leader.
