Mary’s Peak

October 12, 2008

Our trip to Black Butte was changed due to black ice on the pass. We decided on Mary’s Peak to enjoy the nearly clear skies. The Northeast ridge was a very different trail from May when there was a foot of snow on most of the trail. We even saw grasshoppers and a few flowers on this crisp October day. The views and forest were fabulous.

Hikers were: Carolyn Higgins, Becky Lipton, Ginny Saunders and Jim Pierce, leader.
