Gold Lake ShelterFebruary 17, 2007Being that there were only three of us, we unanimously decide in lieu of going the Gold Lake Bechtel Shelter way, that we would venture to the Gold Lake Shelter, to scope out our next weeks Snowshoe Trip. It was a beautiful and unseasonably dry warm day. The snow was crusty and quite icy in some places. We saw less than a half a dozen people and had most of the wilderness to ourselves. We considered it a treat. One of the Marilyn Lakes was totally snowed over, an incredible site to behold. Members Jane Allen “co-leader” and Linda Hovey and myself “leader” Zella Andreski were privileged to enjoy it all. |
