Mt. Pisgah

October 1, 2006

From Mt. Pisgah parking lot we hiked 45 minutes on level ground around the south toe of Mt. Pisgah, viewing a rock quarry and the on going 200 acre flood plain restoration. Then we hiked alongside Buckbrush Creek (dry now of course) to the BPA powerline road. Next, the long steep mile to the summit, then down the summit trail to the parking lot. The weather was cool and fall is rapidly descending on the parched landscape. Stalwart hikers were Dave Compton, (a non-member), Marc Hansen, Sachiko Iwasaki, and Carol Petty. The hike took three hours.
