Sometimes the weather gods are considerate. After a morning of
drizzle and an afternoon of heavy clouds, the sun broke through and
burned away the overcast leaving wispy clouds that glowed in the
setting sun. We then waited in anticipation for the rising of the full
moon which appeared two minutes later than scheduled for 9:27 p.m. It was
worth the wait.
Descending in the dark were hikers
and my granddaughter,
Kate Davis (age 11).
