Gold Lake/Marilyn LakesFebruary 23, 2005In this winter of little snow, fate provided a snow storm over a weekend that left enough snow for a mid-week ski into Gold Lake. The road in wasn’t bad, a little icy but no bare spots and snow covered the fallen debris, and the bright sun was enjoyable. It was warm enough to have lunch outside the shelter. However the Grey Jays failed td show up to share. We, Royal Murdock, leader, and Diane Livermore, tried to return via Marilyn Lakes. The icy conditions where there was snow and the bare spots we encountered led us to carry our skies back to the main road. Still, it sure felt good to get in a ski trip this snow year. |
