Midnight Lake

February 22, 2004

Five outdoor enthusiastic obsidians got together in one vehicle and headed to Gold Lake Sno Park, the starting point for the ski to Midnight Lake. Under partly cloudy skies and nearly ideal snow and skiing conditions, we left the parking area, skiing up the road toward the Lake. After 1.3 miles of road skiing, we got on the PCT trail which was a little crusty but manageable. After gaining about 400 feet in elevation and negotiating numerous trees and tree wells, we arrived at the Lake. After a pleasant lunch, we had a fun time gliding and descending on the Bechtel Creek Trail and road leading back to the Sno Park.

Obsidians enjoying the trip and the company of each other were Janet Hall, Bob Huntley, Diane Jeffcott, Carol Petty, and Bob Burnett, the leader.
