Obsidian Falls

September 22, 2004

We postponed a week and got a perfect day for making this long hike into the Sisters’ Wilderness. We had to slog through a muddy trail below, and snow above, but the view of the Sisters snow covered so early in the fall was brilliant. This was a friendly, cooperative, respectful group of hikers with Richard Sundt acting as our trip photographer, Rob Castleberry our lead hiker, Wait Dolliver our traveling minstrel, and Jim Fritz our First Aid provider. Luckily no one slipped on snow or mud so we didn’t need any first aid. Other hikers were Vicky Foster, Sandra Larsen, Chuck Mitchell, Sue Mombert, and Clare Tucker. We did not get back to Eugene early.
