Marie and Rockpile Lakes

September 12, 2004

Our weather looked threatening, but it never did rain. The clouds cleared at times to give us glimpses of some of the nice views. Both Rockpile & Marie Lakes have pristine clean water — the color varied from green to indigo. Fall was in the air, it was cold when the breeze came through; The trails are nicely maintained and the signage is good. Marie Lake’s outlet creek, dry this time of year, made for an easy route to bushwhack to the trail below.

Hikers were: Barb Bruns, Jim & Sharon Duncan, Yuan Hopkins, Beth & Ken Kodama, Sheila Ward and J. Scott Hovis, leader.
