Rosary Lakes

June 19, 2004

Six people sharing two cars left the parking lot. When we arrived at the trail head, one of the drivers noticed she had car problems and thought prudent to head back to Eugene. A decision had to be made whether or not we should scrub the hike and all turn back. Since there was only five of us left and we could fit into one car, it was decided to get on with the hike. It was a beautiful day, still cool, with few mosquitoes. About 2/3 of the way to the first lake we found a few patches of snow and some more past the north lake. The weather being still cool we unanimously decided to push on to Maiden Peak Saddle.

Hikers were Annette Gilmer, Yuan Hopkins, Sally Quigley, Nancy Whitfield and Daniele Delaby, leader.
