Shotgun Creek

On a clear, bright, cool morning the group headed out from the Shotgun Creek Trail parking lot along the Shotgun Creek. We walked along gentle terrain spotting an array of wildflowers such as bleeding hearts, camas, giant yellow skunk cabbage, calypso orchid and the like. We had a good time negotiating over slippery rocks in boggy areas and kicking up our heels when it was necessary to get over fallen trees.

Hikers were Melody Clarkson, Margo Fetz, Joanne Gulsvig, Dorothy Quirk, Barbara Sutherland, Joyce Thomas and Kitson Graham, leader.
