Deception Butte Trail

This was a trail maintenance trip on the Deception Butte Trail outside of Oakridge. Two Obsidians joined NW Youth Corps crew leader Ryan Ojerio and his parents in doing some brushing, tread restoration and small log removal on this beautiful creekside trail close to Oakridge. The weather was beautiful and the spring foliage at its best. We worked some along the first 1½ miles and surveyed for another 1½ miles. There is extensive work needing to be done. It was a gratifying and unique experience to join forces with another outdoor recreation organization.
