Salt Creek FallsFebruary 22, 2003After weeks of no snow, wondering whether to snowshoe or hike? Then snow days prior to our trip, wonder of TOO much snow? Would the SnoPark be plowed? Voila!—a beautiful day, a fair amount of sun and just the right amount of snow (barely) for a delightful 4 mile loop to admire Diamond Creek Falls, Too Much Bear Lake and Salt Creek Falls. Non-member Peter found a perfect lunch spot—an open sunny area near a small pond. We had one first time snowshoer—very successful. We stopped in Oakridge on the way home for hot chocolate and goodies. Participats were Ann-Marie Askew, Jim and Sharon Duncan, Beth and Ken Kodama, Phoebe McArthur, Peter Matschek, Iwo Tojasiewicz and Barbara Bruns, leader. |
