Clear Lake

Early sunshine greeted six hikers (four of whom were non-members) and promised pleasant weather on our Clear Lake hike. Apparently, lots of ether people shared our plans for the day, as we found parking hard to come by at Clear Lake Resort. It was elbow to elbow in the picnic area and everyone and their brother (and dogs) on the trail. We even had to make way for trail bikers. Nevertheless, we were a congenial group and enjoyed our hike under near perfect weather conditions. After lunch, we stopped to enjoy Sahalie Falls before heading home. Hikers included prospective members Doris Brown (a visitor from Florida), Shawn Phelps, Sarah Cronholm and Bob Cox; and Obsidians Lois Bjerken and Marshall Kandell (leader).
