Twelve Obsidians hiked this easy, Shady, Sisters Wilderness trail on a perfect, warm, sunny day. We were a tad bit early for a mature mosquito infestation, but, alas, too early for the profuse rhodies and other flowers that enhance this trail’s beauty. 4000 ft. elevation and shade most of the way protected us from the heat Eugene suffered that day. We ate our lunch at the Skookum Creek Campground trailhead after the five mile hike with some feet cooling in the creek. Hikers were Ann-Marie Askew, Lois Bjerken, Max Brown, Wendy Clarke, Leona Devine, Janet Jacobsen, Joanne Ledet, Colleen Milliman, Greg Milliman, Barbara Sutherland, Joanne Whitfield and Joella Ewing, leader.
