Mt. Pisgah

A group of three eager hikers left SEHS parking lot at 9 a.m. and headed for the park entrance of Howard Buford Recreation Area. We climbed 2.4 miles to the summit where we viewed awesome vistas of Eugene and surrounding communities, and snow capped peaks. We followed the same trail down, and had lunch along the way since it was windy on the summit. It was a good workout hike! Hikers were Ruth Romoser, Walt Dolliver, and Martha Welches, leader.
