Glide Wildflower Show/Little River Waterfalls
April 27, 2003
The annual Glide wildflower show at the community center was good
again as expected.
After looking at many wildflowers the group departed for two waterfalls
on the Little River road.
The first, Wolf Creek falls, is approximately 2.6 miles round trip.
Missing on the trail was the previously abundant poison oak.
Grotto Falls was spectacular;
some people were wet after walking behind the falls.
The road turns east off of the Little River road about 5 miles from
Wolf Creek falls.
It is in reasonably good condition.
The walk is .6 miles round trip.
There was a bit of snow but hardly enough to make a snowball.
Hiking and view flowers and falls were:
and Stewart Hoeg,
and Mary Ellen West, leader.
