Horse RockMarch 19, 2003Twelve weather confident hikers left the Amazon Community Center around 10 a.m. and headed for Shotgun Creek, where we used the restrooms. Continuing about 5–6 more miles and with a little direction from the BLM staff, we arrived at the trailhead meeting up with number 13 in our group. As soon as we departed our cars, it began to rain steady and for the entire hike. Although the views were very limited, the trail slippery and very steep at times, twelve very soggy weather confident hikers completed the journey. Hikers were John Agnew, Max Brown, Renee Douglas, Jim and Sharon Duncan, Curtis Irish, Ken Kodama, Helen Liguori, B. Manheim, Sig Otto, Joe Scheibe, Sheila Ward and Richard Hughes, leader.
