Tire Mountain Trail MaintenanceMay 22, 2003A bright warm day made for ideal conditions for the continued maintenance of Tire Mountain Trail. The two crew members, John Cooper (leader) and Wayne Deeter, when not engaged in cutting back brush, contouring the trail and cleaning two turn pikes, spent time admiring the emerging wildflowers and taking in views of Diamond Peak and the Sisters. It was satisfying to know that when we walked back to the trail head through the meadows of wild flowers that we left the trail in better condition than it had been when we had first walked down it that morning. |
