Tire Mountain Trail Maintenance

A small party engaged in trail improvement along the Alpine/Tire Mtn trail system with the blessings of rainless, comfortably cool conditions. Peter Asai, John Cooper, Wayne Deeter and Bob Huntley put in a solid 4½ hours of clearing brush, widening tread, filling holes in the trail and admiring their handiwork. The work group encountered 9 hikers during the day, an early season indication of this trail’s popularity. The views from the meadows on the Alpine segment were splendid. This was the first installment of the much further work needed on the Tire Mtn segment of this trail.
