Diamond Creek FallsMarch 8, 2002The March 8th snowshoe to Diamond Creek Falls was beautiful with a foot of new snow over packed ice. Snow fell softly all day with occasional sunbreaks, and the trip took only three leisurely hours not including driving time. Nine signed up, but only three were able to go due to a lack of snow drivers. Thanks to Jim Whitfield for driving a new Obsidian, Ann-Marie Askew, and myself – trip leader Peggy Lee Mathes – in his truck. |
