Ridgeline Trail

Ten hikers drove just four miles to the Ridgeline trailhead on Fox Hollow Road, immediately outside the south boundary of Eugene. Rather than completing the hike at the Blanton Road trail head with a one-way shuttle, we turned around and headed back to Fox Hollow for a 6.4 mile hike. With the exception of crossing Willamette at 52^nd, and despite sightings of some suburban homes, our urban hike provided us a leisurely Saturday morning outing along a gentle trail lined with Douglas fir, pines and hemlocks, and a large variety of ferns. Mavis Mate, Peter Graham, Kitson Graham, Kathy Hoeg, Barbara Sutherland, Yuan Hopkins, Anne Hollander, Max Brown and Gordon Lawrence joined Chris Cunningham for this local outdoor adventure.
