Despite the ominous gray misty weather at the SEHS parking lot,
four hikers looked forward to stretching their legs on a fall day
at Scott Mountain.
The nice trail had the occasional log, and a few patches of snow
were seen from a recent storm.
Barbara tossed her first snowball of the fall/winter season.
We did not have a view at the top of Scott Mountain and therefore went to
a lower less windy area for lunch.
The weather improved as the day progressed.
Everyone agreed to return by way of Hand Lake, which afforded us a great
view of the Sisters, fall scenery, lava flows, and meadows.
Obsidian hikers were Sabine Dutoit, Jim Fritz
and leaders Barbara Bruns, Judy Terry.
