Fuji Mountain

September 27, 2002

It was well worth the drive to hike the short trail to Fuji Mt. We left town at 8:00, stopped at the Ranger Station, did not meet any cars on the 11 miles gravel road, and at lunch on top at 11:00. It was a beautiful fall day with some great views of the Waldo and Diamond Peak. We welcomed Roberta from Vermont on her first hike with the Obsidians. We were back in town by 2:30 with plenty of time to make our dish for the potluck. Hikers were Roberta Guternuth, Yuan Hopkins, Nola Shurtleff and Janet Jacobsen (leader).
