This annual trip to Green Lakes was hiked a different way this year.
It was all down hill—nine miles.
We began at Crater Ditch trailhead off road 370 (Todd Lake turn off)
and walked down the ditch, around Broken Top and into Green Lakes meadow.
After lunch and enjoying the fabulous view, we continued our hike down
Fall Creek to the Green Lakes trailhead.
Thanks to Frank Halker for being our shuttle back to the cars.
Road 370 is passable for high clearance vehicles.
The trip was worth the trouble it took to arrange it.
The scenery was great and the group was terrific.
Hikers were: Barbara Chinn, Cynthia Cooper, Linn Crooks, Fred Felter,
Donna Halker, Carole Horton, Marshall Kandell, Roy Lisi, John Lorang,
Leila Snow, Rick Wilmath and Mary Ellen West, leader.
