Scott Mountain

July 27, 2002

A sunny, but cool day, was one of the pleasures of this hike, even though the mosquitoes were still a bother everywhere but on the breezy summit. The only trail problem of note this year was that the section from the summit back down to Benson Lake had not yet been cleared of blow-down. A good number of the members enjoyed a swim at Benson Lake, near the end of the trip.

The hikers were: Members Sandy McFarland, Dick Hildreth, Max Brown, Maggie Gontrum, Ann-Marie Askew, Sabine Dutoit; Non-members were Jerry Wood, Gram Corley-Smith. Leader was George Baitinger.
