Larison RockMay 22, 2002We ten obsidians had a wonderful uphill hike to Larison Rock. Along the trail which veers left from a road access from Green Waters park, Oakridge, we saw lots of wildflowers — white iris, trilliums, calypso orchids, fawn lilies and oxyalis. The view of Oakridge and view from the top of the rock is outstanding! The temperature was great for hiking — mid 60’s — and there were lots of conversations and much dialogue about cars. Lunch-at-the-top offers great views! Hikers were John Agnew, Dan Bates, Dave Becker, Max Brown, Janet Jacobsen, Marilyn Kerins, Joe Neal, Sharon Ritchie, Sheila Ward and trip leader Ruth Romoser. |
